Community Participation & Group Activities
We encourage you to get out and about! Our community access and group activities help you engage in your local area and meet new people. Options include:
- Community outings: Accompanied visits to shops, cafés, parks, museums, libraries or community events. We turn everyday activities into skill–building opportunities.
- Social and recreational groups: Join small groups for art, music, cooking classes, sports or social clubs. These fun programs develop social and life skills in an inclusive environment.
- Transport training: Learn to use public transport or community vehicles safely with a support worker by your side.
Our NDIS–funded community access support helps you build confidence and social connections. For example, our programs are designed to be inclusive and enjoyable, creating a supportive setting for skill development. Participants often learn practical skills like money management through real–life activities (e.g. shopping and dining) and meal preparation.
Life Skills Development
Part of our Core Supports is helping you gain practical life skills for daily independence. Our specialists provide one–on–one or group coaching on things like:
- Cooking & nutrition: Learning recipes, meal planning and kitchen safety.
- Money management: Budgeting, shopping for items, using ATMs or electronic payments.
- Daily routines: Morning/evening routines, household organisation and personal scheduling.
- Communication skills: Practice social interactions, using communication aids or strategies.
- Decision–making: Support in planning outings, setting goals and solving everyday problems.
These activities build confidence and skills that carry over into all areas of life. Our goal is that every session leaves you feeling more capable and connected.
